Bolt-on forks are often used on large forklift trucks and attachments, e.g. multi-pallet handlers for the beverage industry. Holes in the fork shank allow them to be bolted onto the fork carriage. Due to the holes and the resulting notch effect, the load-bearing capacity is lower than that of standard forks of comparable cross-section.
We thus highly recommend that bolt-on forks are designed and calculated by VETTER. The hole pattern is not standardized.
However, the VETTER database already contains a wide range of variants. Don’t hesitate to contact us!
