FAQs about the factory repair service

The inspection and repair of forklift forks are governed by the international standard ISO 5057. Repairs may only be performed by the manufacturer or an authorized specialist. Only minor repairs (e.g., replacing a locking mechanism) may be performed by you.

  • Often significant cost savings compared to purchasing new equipment
  • Increased flexibility (e.g., in the rental fleet) due to higher availability and reduced storage requirements
  • Extended service life
  • Preventive maintenance reduces costs

Repairs are particularly advisable for special and large forks. However, minor adjustments—such as replacing fork hooks—are also a good option.

Please note: Ideally, the wear allowance should still be approximately 5% (e.g., fork thickness (nominal dimension) 40 mm -> wear limit
36 mm -> minimum dimension for repair 38 mm).

This ensures that the repair will be cost-effective for you.

  • Compliance with ISO 5057
  • For all fork brands and the entire range of forks (Prerequisite: The forks must be manufactured in Europe or the material grade must be known.)
  • Simple and fast service
  • Reliable diagnostics, including crack and load testing
  • Detailed cost estimate with competitive fixed prices for standard repairs
  • Special rates for bulk repairs of larger quantities
  • Pickup and delivery service at a fixed price
  • 6-month warranty on repairs performed (single-shift operation or 600 operating hours, excluding wear and tear and misuse)

Fork inspection

Forklift forks are used to move goods every day, which is why inspecting them is of the utmost importance. Using safe and properly functioning forks is not only mandatory—it’s also a valuable opportunity: Working safely also means working more cost-effectively!
