The only ex-proof fork with wear indicator
According to EN 1755 forks in explosion-protected areas need to be renewed as soon as soon as the cladding thickness drops below 1 mm.
As it was not previously possible to determine the wear limit visibly, regular or daily measurement was necessary. However, these examinations were time-consuming and required special tools and expertise. This is the essential benefit of DuplEx claddings.
The fork is cladded using 2 different materials:
1 mm inner cladding on the underside of fork + 4 mm outer cladding of the complete fork blade
By using materials of different colours (brass and stainless steel), wear can be immediately determined at a glance:
A real plus in terms of safety and comfort.
Take your forks out of service immediately as soon as the inner cladding becomes visible!
This ensures that you are always on the safe side – and, of course, ATEX-approved.
Previously, the residual cladding had to be measured and documented before every use.
With the DuplEx cladding, this is no longer necessary. You save time and costs!
Neither specialist knowledge nor tools are required to use DuplEx safety.
