09 June 2020 is National Forklift Safety Day in the USA and Great Britain reminding us having a view on safety questions. And there is a lot of potential to increase safety and save costs at the same time. 12,625 forklift accidents were reported to the DGUV (German Accident Insurance) in 2018 in Germany, 5 of which were fatal. Not to mention numerous minor collisions which cause disruptions and high internal expenditures.

Forks are subject to wear. However, oberserving the following recommendations, you will profit by long, safe and efficient application.
- Carry out daily visual controls
- Have the fork inspected regularly according to ISO 5057 / ANSI/ITSDF B56.1
- Replace worn components immediately
- Contact the fork manufacturer for fork modifications (weldings, coatings etc.). Only the manufacturer assures safety and guarantees warranty rights.
